RE: Negro Question

Dear Brother Bennion:

Supplementing my talk with you and also my correspondence with respect to the question of whether the Church had made the right intepretation as respects the colored persons, I have found in my file today a letter dated January 31, 1953, which I wrote to President David O. McKay but which I never sent. I am sending it to you for the purpose of stating a little more clearly Dr. Chauncy Harris' attitude in the event you get authority to go into this matter carefully.

This letter is NOT for delivery to President McKay because I think it best that it not be sent, but is just for your own consideration.

Sincerely,

Ernest L. Wilkinson
