This list of parallels is surprisingly extensive. Phrases antecedent to Jrm are found in almost every section of material attributable to Isaiah [emphasis added] of Jerusalem. One may note that the two passage about the ideal ruler, Isa 9:1-8 and 11:1-9, are not represented, but this lack may be nothing more than accidental; on the other hand, if those passages are authentic to Isaiah, and if Jrm knew them, then it may be Jrm's marginal interest in Davidic kingship that led him to pass them by.
