The incoming of a new Dispensation of the gospel which would include all Dispensations from first to last, and being definitely promised in prophetic scripture; the accumulated errors of a false Christianity swept aside-the ground cleared for the incoming Dispensation; what would follow as the first step in the new developments leading to the restoration of the gospel and the re-establishment of a true Christian church?

Undoubtedly a revelation concerning God. That must be the true beginning of all religion-the knowledge of God. And this is where the new Dispensation of the gospel began.

The Prophet of the new Dispensation declares that when he asked for wisdom to guide him in what he should do in the midst of the confusing perplexities of the modern religious status, an open vision was given to him in the broad light of a beautiful spring morning. He saw a pillar of light descending from above him which exceeded the brightness of the sun at noon-day. and in the midst of the light, he beheld "two Personages whose brightness and glory defy all description," standing above him in the air, one of them spake unto him, calling him by name, and said. pointing to the other:

"This is my Beloved Son, hear him."

Two personages in form like men, capable of being seen, of speaking, being heard, for they imparted to the young Prophet the knowledge and wisdom he was seeking, how to act in his religious perplexities.

Thus God the Father and God the Son were revealed to the Prophet and God had raised up a witness in the world for his being and the kind of being he was; Immortal Intelligences, Father and Son—both exactly alike. The Son being the brightness of the Father's Glory, "and the express image of his person." (Heb. I:3)–God revealed!
